Believe it or not, the above photo was the first result of me telling her to smile.
"I'm a big girl!"
"Where did that turtle go? He was here this morning."

Kennedy and I had a blast Tuesday afternoon playing outside in the front yard. She took her shoes off and walked in the grass all the while telling me how good it felt on her toes. Between running, falling down and posing for pictures, she did manage to find time to tell the dogs to "hush" or that she had heard "enough." Yes, I had plenty of other things I could have been doing - laundry, cleaning house, embroidery work, etc. But for some reason this time with Kennedy was much more important.
