I may never march in the impa-tree,
Ride in the cabareet,
Shoot the a-till-a-ree.
I may never soar o'er the enemy, but I'm in the Lord's army. Yes, sir!
That is Kennedy's version of a well-known VBS song. We are having VBS this week at our church, and it's Kennedy's first time to attend. As has become the trend in recent years, we are holding our VBS in the evening. Two and half hours after a hot summer day of playing is hard, to say the least, on a toddler. Last night after we finished the evening's activities, a very tired Kennedy and her Daddy were running across the parking lot and having a blast doing so. However, all fun must stop sooner or later. Kennedy took a spill in her pink crocs - her new favorite shoes. As luck would have it, her face landed first on the gravel. Pictures below show the damage to her lip, gums and nose. She also has two scraped up knees, a forearm with a little road rash, and a yucky looking fingernail. Let's look on the bright side though - it could have been MUCH worse. Daddy needs to quit beating himself up about it because accidents happen and she is fine. Besides, it gave me a great blog entry!
