Every year on Valentine's Day, Cary takes Kennedy out on a date. They both get dressed up, Kennedy picks the place and he "wines & dines." For the second year in a row, she has chosen Cracker Barrel. The idea is for her (and, in the future, Kate too) to learn how she should expect to be treated by a man. We want her not only to know what to expect, but also what to demand...and what she deserves. We pray this teaches her discernment and good judgement when it comes to choosing a young man to date and someday...yikes!...marry. But until those days arrive, she can date her Daddy!
She was so excited getting ready for the date. I let her pick out her clothes and a purse and how her hair was fixed. She was determined to wear a headband and I think her outfit was planned around that pink headband.
