The kids and I recently spent time in Hope with my family. We always have loads of fun, and they especially enjoyed time at Unkie's house this trip (photos above). Unkie caught one of his goats and held it long enough for both Kennedy & Jude to "ride" it. Jude enjoyed playing with the big dogs and continually saying "hi doddy" to each of them. Kennedy tortured the smallest puppy by carrying it around. I posted the photo of her with the puppy that seemed the least cruel.
Time at Janey & Poppa's house is always fun. You can tell in the pic of all three kids, above, that Jude was thrilled! His vocabulary is ever-increasing and many days it takes some creative thinking on our parts to figure out what the little man is saying. While in Hope, he repeated continually what sounded like "goat cheese". We laughed every time we heard it. Finally we figured out he was saying "go see." Even after we figured it out, we still giggled every time he said it.
Kennedy "cooks" at Janey & Poppa's house just like she does at home...both in the kitchen and play cooking as well. One of her favorite dishes to make while she is in Hope is "soup casserole with chesternuts." She says it's Unkie's favorite. We assume that "chesternuts" are water chestnuts.
We went a couple of afternoons to the playground at Janey's school. Except for a couple of scraped knees, we had a great time. Jude is pointing at his knee in one photo and saying "I ha a boo boo." He definitely did have a boo boo. By the time we got ready to leave, I had to clean up the blood dripping down his leg.
The kids and I spent one day hanging out with K.K. (my aunt). My cousin, Bill, took them to visit the horse.
