The kids and I recently spent a few days in Hope and while we were there, we took a day trip to Bossier City, Louisiana, to "The Boardwalk". It's a beautiful open-air shopping center on the Red River which divides Bossier City & Shreveport similar to the LR & NLR division by the Arkansas River. While there, we stopped at a glass walled area so the kids could see the river. It was obvious that Kennedy was really mulling something over in her head. Finally, she asked, "Mommy, can God see us even in Louisiana?" "Yes, baby, God is everywhere...even in Louisiana," I answered. She responded, "WOW - he must be a pretty big God!"
Thank you, Kennedy, for the reminder. Sometimes we adults forget just how big He is and how amazing He is. Children truly are gifts from above!
