What do you do when snow is falling in Arkansas (again) and the "let's make cupcakes!" suggestion was frowned upon? And you can't take the kids outside because there are two little ones that don't need to be outside and need a nap instead? And there are 4 kids and only one of you which would create a logistical nightmare?
First, you retreive the box you got in today's mail from King Arthur Flour.
You remove the cinnamon chips you are very excited to use in your new cinnamon bread recipe, but can't right now because you are trying to win the "Best Mom in the World" award.
Cut holes in one side of the box and spray paint it an obnoxious pink (for the girl).
Cut holes in the other side of the box and spray paint it blue (for the boy).
While the paint dries, take a break for a quick math lesson using fruit.
Then get creative with construction paper & sharpies.
